God Is Infinitely Wise

33 Oh, how great are God’s riches and wisdom and knowledge! How impossible it is for us to understand his decisions and his ways!

34 For who can know the Lord’s thoughts?
Who knows enough to give him advice?[a]
35 And who has given him so much
that he needs to pay it back?[b]

36 For everything comes from him and exists by his power and is intended for his glory. All glory to him forever! Amen.

Romans 11:33-36 (New Living Translation)

28 And we know that God causes everything to work together[a] for the good of those who love God and are called according to his purpose for them.

Romans 8:28 (New Living Translation)

Notes from my devotional…

(The Character of God – Part 3 of 7)

“When God call you to do something, He has His hands on it from day one.”

God is so strategic.

The Bible tells us that it is absolutely impossible for us to understand His ways. The apostle Paul gives us more insight into God’s character in 1 Corinthians 1:27 when he tells us how God uses the foolish things of the world to shame those who believe themselves to be wise, and the powerless things to shame those who are powerful. The Lord Himself revealed through the prophet Isaiah that His ways are higher than our ways and His thoughts are higher than our thoughts.

Trust God. Rest in confidence knowing that whatever the Lord has called you to do in business, He knows better than you do. Take a step in faithful obedience and watch Your God (in His infinite wisdom) work on Your behalf.

Lord, I recognize You to be all knowing. You already know the end from the beginning. Help me to remember that Your are smarter than I am. Give me spiritual eyes to see things as You see them, spiritual ears to hear things as Your hear them, and faith to be obedient to Your calling when I can’t see how the story ends. Help me, by the Holy Spirit, to walk in Your ways no matter how crazy it looks or sounds because I know that You have a perfect plan for me.  Amen.
